Privacy Policy
Effective date: 2026-02-01 · Last updated: 2026-02-01
Batjko Labs (“Batjko Labs”, “we”, “us”) builds small apps and tools. We try to collect as little data as possible. When we do process data, it’s to provide the service you asked for — not to sell it, and not to keep it forever.
Quick summary
- We don’t sell personal data.
- We process content only to provide the service. If a feature needs audio/text/image input, that input is used to produce your output.
- We aim for short retention. Temporary uploads used for processing are designed to be deleted quickly.
- Subscriptions are handled by platforms. Payments are processed by Apple/Google and/or our subscription partners; we don’t receive your full card details.
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to our websites (including batjko.com) and to our apps and tools (collectively, the “Services”).
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact information (for example, when you email us): name, email address, and the content of your message.
- User content you choose to submit to the Services (for example audio recordings, text, files, or other inputs), where required for the feature to work.
Information collected automatically
- Basic log data: IP address, device/browser type, pages requested, timestamps, and referrer URLs. This is standard for running a website safely.
- App diagnostics (if enabled by the platform): crash logs and performance metrics.
- Usage data: high-level events such as feature usage (e.g. button taps), primarily to understand reliability and improve the product.
How we use information
- Provide the Service — e.g., process an input to produce an output you requested.
- Maintain and secure the Service — prevent abuse, debug issues, keep the site reliable.
- Support — respond to messages sent to our support/contact addresses.
- Improve the product — measure what’s working and what’s broken.
Content processing (important)
Some features require processing user-provided content (for example, audio or text) in order to generate results. When this happens:
- We use the content only to provide the feature (i.e., to generate the requested output).
- Where possible, content is processed in a temporary manner and then deleted.
- If a feature stores outputs/history, that is typically stored on your device unless we clearly state otherwise.
Model training: We do not use your content to train our own machine learning models. We also do not allow our service providers to use your content to train their models, except where you explicitly opt in or where a provider requires limited use strictly to deliver the service (and only under appropriate contractual safeguards).
Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described above. Retention varies by data type:
- Temporary processing data (e.g., uploads used to run a computation): intended to be deleted shortly after processing completes.
- Support emails: retained as long as necessary to resolve the request and maintain a support history.
- Server logs: kept for a limited period for security and debugging.
Sharing and third parties
We use third-party services to run the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, AI processing, storage, and subscription management). These providers may process data on our behalf strictly to provide their services.
Typical categories of service providers include:
- Hosting/CDN for our website.
- Analytics to measure performance and usage (where enabled).
- AI processing providers when a feature requires generating outputs from user inputs.
- Subscription management to validate entitlements and manage subscription state.
We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing.
Subscriptions and payments
If you purchase a subscription, your payment is processed by the relevant platform (e.g., Apple App Store / Google Play) and/or our subscription partners. We do not receive your full payment card information. We may receive purchase and entitlement metadata (for example: whether a subscription is active) so we can unlock paid features.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to minimize collection and reduce retention to limit risk.
Legal bases (GDPR)
If you are in the UK/EEA, we process personal data only when we have a lawful basis under the GDPR/UK GDPR. Depending on the context, this includes:
- Contract — to provide the Services you request (for example, processing an input to generate an output).
- Legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve the Services (for example, preventing abuse, measuring reliability, and debugging).
- Consent — where required (for example, certain cookies/analytics depending on your region and settings).
- Legal obligation — to comply with applicable laws and enforce our terms.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over your personal data. In the UK/EEA, these typically include: access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection, as well as the right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you (where applicable).
- You can revoke app permissions (e.g., microphone) at any time via your device settings.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions through the platform where you purchased them.
If you are in the UK/EEA, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
International transfers
Depending on where you live and where our providers operate, your data may be processed in other countries. When we transfer data internationally, we use safeguards designed to protect your data, such as standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms where required.
Children
Our Services are not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date above.
