Privacy Policy

Effective date: 2026-07-10 · Last updated: 2026-07-10

Batjko Labs publishes independent writing at batjko.com. We collect only the information needed to run the site, send our newsletter when you request it, and respond when you contact us. We do not sell personal data.

What this policy covers

This policy covers batjko.com, its newsletter, and correspondence sent to Batjko Labs. It does not cover third-party websites linked from our articles or social profiles.

Information we collect

How we use it

Analytics and cookies

On batjko.com, analytics is configured to avoid cookies, local and session storage, broad interaction autocapture, surveys, and session replay. It respects Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals where available. We use PostHog for high-level site analytics; its browser traffic is proxied through our domain rather than sent directly to a third-party analytics hostname.

Retention and sharing

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose described here. Newsletter information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Messages and server logs are retained for a limited period where needed for correspondence, security, and record-keeping.

We use service providers for hosting, email delivery, and analytics. They may process data on our behalf only to provide those services. We do not share personal data with third parties for their own marketing.

Legal bases and your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, we process personal data on the basis of consent (for the newsletter), legitimate interests (to operate, secure, and understand the site), and legal obligations where applicable. You may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to processing where the law provides those rights. You may withdraw newsletter consent at any time by unsubscribing.

You may also complain to your local data-protection authority. Where providers process data in other countries, we use appropriate safeguards required by applicable law.

Children and changes

The site is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. We may update this policy from time to time and will change the date above when we do.
